More and more of us are discovering the benefits (and let’s face it – the sheer bliss) of regular hydromassage therapy. Choose from the HydroJet or HydroJet Pro massage systems, and utilise their powerful water jets to relieve tension in muscles and boost circulation.

Hydromassage

Whether you have a busy family life, a stressful job or you’re training hard, everyone appreciates the power of the water on aching muscles – and there are some simple ways to get the most from the massaging power of your hot tub.

The perfect hydromassage should last up to around twenty minutes. If you’re a new hot tub owner, start with a ten-minute massage and build them up slowly to get you used to it, and bear in mind that the warmer you have your water the shorter your massage needs to be.

If you don’t exfoliate your skin too often, it’s a great idea to give it a good scrub before you sink into the tub for the hydromassage session. Getting rid of those dead skin cells will make your skin more responsive to the hot tub treatment (as well as nice and smooth!). Hydromassage is great for anyone who does a lot of sports or sticks to a strict gym regime, as the water helps to break down the fluids that can gather in your muscles and cause those aches and pains.

Hydromassage

It’s important to try and relax after your hydromassage as well as during. It’s a great idea to lie down and close your eyes for a few minutes when you step out of your Lay-Z-Spa and give your body a chance to return to a normal temperature. Why not wrap up warm and doze for awhile to let your body enjoy the full effect of your massage session? If you don’t have much time, just take five and focus on taking deep, relaxing breaths.

Think of your hydromassage regime as you would if you were enjoying it at a spa and follow a few simple rules to get the best from each session. Drink plenty of water, avoid alcohol or big meals before you indulge, and remember that it’s common to feel sleepy when the jets have worked their magic…enjoy!
