The great thing about a Lay-Z-Spa is you can have all the luxury of a hot tub but with the added advantage of being able to pack it away - either when it's not in use or when you need your garden space back.
Once you have given your Lay-Z-Spa a thorough deep clean and made sure it is completely dry, then you're ready to think about how and where you are going to store it.
Protect a Lay-Z-Spa in storage
It is unlikely that you will be able to fit everything back in the original box, but if you can get the liner and any inflatable parts, this will give them good protection. The pump doesn't really need to be kept in anything. Alternatively, you can get a large plastic container for your liner, lid and top cover and fittings.
Where to store a Lay-Z-Spa?
Most Lay-Z-Spa owners will store their Lay-Z-Spa in a garage or shed. If you are going to store it in the original box or even something like tarpaulin and we strongly recommend that you keep it off the ground, such as on a wooden pallet. This acts as a barrier from the floor to protect it from damp, insects or mice trying to burrow inside it.
Please note: Even when it’s been tightly folded, the liner can sometimes be awkward to carry, so you may require two people or a wheelbarrow to transport it to your shed or garage.
You can store a Lay-Z-Spa inflated
Some Lay-Z-Spa owners choose not to deflate their liner when putting it away. If you are lucky enough to have space in a large shed or garage, you can store the liner inflated. Make sure it has been cleaned and is thoroughly dry, raise it off the ground and keep it safe from anything puncturing the liner. Keep all other parts in a safe and dry place.
Important advice about Lay-Z-Spa storage
The most important advice we can give you about packing down and storing your Lay-Z-Spa hot tub is:
- Never drag your hot tub on the ground when moving it - either inflated or deflated
- Make sure it is 100% completely dry before storing it away
- Don't just put the liner unprotected on the floor of a shed or garage
- Keep all your parts together
