Beam and FortiFibre™ Construction

Lay-Z-Spa FortiFibre™ (drop stitch) and beam are the mainframe construction of our inflatable hot tubs (ThermaCore™ hot tubs use high-density foam). Both are designed for durable comfort and superior strength.

Beam Construction: Strength and Comfort

All standard inflatable Lay‑Z‑Spa hot tubs have a beam construction designed to offer superior structural stability as well as maintaining the original shape over time, no matter how many times it is inflated and deflated.

Some Lay‑Z‑Spa hot tubs include MaxHold™ fabric interior beams that won't stretch, provide superior air pressure retention, stability and lightweight portability.

Our EnergySense hot tubs still have a beam construction with added thermal insulation behind each layer of TriTech.

FortiFibre™: Rigid, Lightweight Durability

Lay‑Z‑Spa hot tubs with a FortiFibre™ construction have thinner and extremely firm sidewalls. The drop stitch material used is incredibly lightweight but provides unparalleled strength.

Thousands of fine polyester threads securely connect the sidewalls, which seal in air to create a rigid and sturdy inflatable hot tub. Not only is FortiFibre™ great for durability, but this also makes the hot tub much more spacious on the inside.
