What Is Lay-Z-Spa ThermaCore™?
ThermaCore™ is the technology behind energy-efficient rigid foam‑sided Lay‑Z‑Spa hot tubs such as the Toronto and Oslo AirJet™.
Instead of an inflatable liner, these hot tubs feature sturdy thermal foam panel that get zipped up into the Lay‑Z‑Spa TriTech® outer material.
Not only providing greater stability and firm sides, but this foam hot tub construction also has greater heat retaining properties offering up to 63% better energy efficiency than a traditional inflatable hot tub.
Energy-Saving Foam Hot Tub
With a thermally insulating foam construction, ThermaCore™ Lay‑Z‑Spa hot tubs retain substantially more heat and reach temperature much quicker making them more economical to run all year round.
The top cover of all ThermaCore™ hot tubs includes the award-winning EnergySense® insulation and with standard features such as the power saving timer and Freeze Shield™, rigid foam Lay‑Z‑Spa hot tubs are the most energy‑efficient portable hot tubs to keep using during the winter months.
Previously we had an inflatable and this version really is cheaper to run.
As it’s not air filled you don’t have the worry of a puncture and it feels more robust.
The insulation works a treat keeping the temperature within a degree over night, the pump power usage is low and we keep the heating on all the time to keep the temp.
It's a great hot tub when in use and glad we waited for the foam filled insulation rather than inflatable for better energy efficiency.
It has noticeably reduced my electricity running costs. It only drops 1 degree overnight without any heater being on.
