E02 (UltraFit™ Built-in Pump)

Is your Lay-Z-Spa UltraFit™ built-in pump showing E02? This E02 message is alerting you to a water flow issue.

Before trying to diagnose your E02 error code on your built-in pump, please check the following:

  • Your Lay-Z-Spa UltraFit™ hot tub has water in it
  • You don't have the stopper caps on
  • The filter cartridge and filter housing are properly attached
  • There are no objects in the Lay-Z-Spa that could be obstructing the water inlets

Step 1 ‑ Filter cartridge & filter housing check

  1. Remove the filter set (both cartridge and filter housing).
  2. Activate the filter function only.
  3. If the E02 message doesn't show, please replace your filter cartridge with a new one and check your filter housing for any damage.

If that does not resolve the issue, please follow these steps.

Step 2 ‑ Are the debris screens blocked? And, are you in a medium or hard water area?

Behind the ChemConnect and filter housing are "debris screens". These are used to catch any debris during the filtration system. If the hot tub is used in a medium or hard water area, there is likely to be a buildup of calcium/limescale.

Please follow these steps to resolve this:

  1. Drain the water past the top debris screen.
  2. Unscrew the debris screen and check for debris.
If you spot debris that could be calcium deposits, it is important to take action.
  3. Empty the build-up from your debris screen.
  4. At this point we would urge you to descale your Lay-Z-Spa UltraFit™ hot tub.
    A) Use a designated descaler (if available).
    B) Start regularly using ClearWater Scale and Stain Remover to help reduce this and clear the build up.

If the steps provided above do not resolve the issue, please contact our Customer Care team.
