How to setup a Lay-Z-Spa Ice Bath

Lay-Z-Spa ice baths are available in different constructions. See below which applies to your Lay-Z-Spa ice bath.

How to setup a Lay-Z-Spa Ice Bath

Before setting up a Lay-Z-Spa ice bath

  • Check that your surface is flat, level and clear of any objects such as stones, twigs etc
  • If setting up on decking, it must be strong enough to hold the weight of the ice bath, water and user(s)
  • If the outside temperature is cold, keep and setup the liner indoors at a temperature above 15°C

Lay-Z-Spa inflatable FortiFiber ice bath setup guide:

  1. Carefully lay out the liner and all parts
  2. Open the inflation valve and insert the inflation hose
  3. Inflate up to 7PSI, remove the hose and screw in valve cap
  4. Make sure the drain valve is closed
  5. If necessary screw in debris screens then attach black stopper caps over them
  6. Fill with water up to or above the minimum line
  7. Screw adapters on to pipes A and B
  8. Attach filter pump pipes A-A and B-B then secure in place
  9. Remove stopper caps from inside the ice bath
  10. Purge the filter pump by unscrewing the top for 30 seconds
  11. Place the top cover over the ice bath and fasten the clips

Lay-Z-Spa steel frame ice bath setup guide:

  1. Carefully lay out the liner and all parts
  2. Following the guidance in the manual, insert the steel frame poles into the top of the ice bath
  3. Insert the corner and joining brackets
  4. Insert the leg poles and attach the feet
  5. Make sure the drain valve is closed
  6. Insert black stopper caps into the water outlets A and B
  7. Fill with water up to or above the minimum line
  8. Attach filter pump pipes A-A and B-B, then secure in place
  9. Remove stopper caps from inside the ice bath
  10. Attach the debris screens
  11. Purge the filter pump by unscrewing the top for 30 seconds
  12. Place the top cover over the ice bath and fasten the pullcord
