Is there an E18 error code displaying on your Lay-Z-Spa pump? This means your Lay-Z-Spa pump is flagging an electrical grounding/earthing issue.

This will be due to the GLEDS system (Ground Line Electric Detection System) which can detect if there is current discharged into the grounding line coming from other electrical appliances installed in the household. The system is very sensitive and can detect a current of 5 mA. This type of situation can be temporary as it may only be during the period of time when another electrical appliance causing the problem is switched on.

Step 1 - Disconnect pump & check other appliances:

Disconnect the pump from the socket and wait 5 minutes. Then, plug in again and check if the alarm appears again.

If E18 appears again, disconnect other electrical appliances in the house one by one (washing machine / lamps / coffee machine / laptop etc.) until the alarm disappears.

Step 2 - Request assistance from an electrician:

If after following the above procedure, the problem persists, call a certified electrician who will check where the current leakage comes from.
