Lay-Z-Spa Hot Tubologist

After reviewing the 500+ applications received to become the new Lay-Z-Spa Hot Tubologist, which gained publicity coverage from the likes of the Daily Express and MSN, Emily Thompson from Derby was chosen as our official hot tub tester.

Having recently transformed her garden space, Emily quickly got to work testing and trialing the Santorini HydroJet Pro™. We caught up with her afterwards to find out about her experience.

Have you owned or used a hot tub before?

This is the first time I’ve owned my very own hot tub! I’ve used hot tubs at spas before and it’s amazing to now have that experience in the comfort of my own garden, there’s nothing better than relaxing in the Lay-Z-Spa after a long day.

How did you find setting up your Lay-Z-Spa?

I think the thought of setting a Lay-Z-Spa is quite daunting for a first-time owner. However, you’re given all the instructions and advice needed to make it an easy process. You’re also given all the guidance needed in terms of adjusting and maintaining the chemicals, they make it very easy.

Tell us about your first experience in the Lay-Z-Spa

The Santorini surpassed my expectations. It creates such a serene atmosphere and really does feel like you have a spa in your very own garden. I’m a massive fan of grey anyway so this was the perfect addition to our patio area and elevates the look of our garden amazingly.

What would you say are the best features of the Santorini HydroJet Pro™ and why?

The HydroJets are definitely my favourite feature, it’s like having a massage! Listening to the bubbles is so calming, it’s an added bonus to have cup holders that attach to the side of the hot tub so I can enjoy a drink or two whilst enjoying the experience. I also think the look of the hot tub is amazing, the plain grey design looks luxurious and is definitely my favourite model that Lay-Z-Spa have to offer.

Would you say that the Santorini HydroJet Pro™ is better for families or couples looking to relax?

Personally, we use it as a couple. It’s a lovely way to end the day and focus on nothing but relaxing and enjoying some time to yourself. That being said, the Santorini HydroJet Pro is a very good size and would be perfect for families or inviting friends round for the perfect get-together!

If you could add one feature to the Santorini HydroJet Pro™  what would it be?

Honestly, I think it would be amazing to have built-in speakers in the hot tub! We haven’t used Bluetooth speakers near the hot tub due to the electrics so this would be an amazing feature.

Overall, I’m really impressed with the Santorini hot tub by Lay-Z-Spa. I’d highly recommend to anyone who’s looking to add a little luxury and a way to escape from the craziness of everyday life.
